The N-PC porous nanostructures have been successfully synthesized.

N-doped carbon can promote the chemical adsorption of polysulfides.

The surface area is about 853 m2 g−1 and pore volume about 0.939 cm3 g−1.

After 500 cycles at 2.0 C the capacity remaining above 457 mAh g−1.
