Sanfu acupoint herbal patching (SAHP) used for asthma was systematically reviewed. 34 randomised clinical trials involved 3313 asthma patients. SAHP used alone or in combination with usual care appears to be more effective. SAHP therapy seems to be safe. Rigorous trials for preventing asthma attack need to be conducted.
