Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor decreases the Th1/Th2 ratio in peripheral blood mononuclear cells from patients with chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura in vitro
Our findings suggest the therapeutic potential of G-CSF in patients with ITP. It elucidates the immunomodulatory mechanisms of G-CSF in Th1/Th2 cells in vitro. G-CSF decreased the Th1/Th2 ratio in PBMCs from patients with ITP in vitro. G-CSF decreased T-bet/GATA-3 mRNA ratio in PBMCs from patients with ITP in vitro. The study shows that Th1 and Th2 cells could express G-CSFR.
