The magmatism in the Fuxing area might have occurred in the Early Carboniferous.

The basalts and diorites were likely derived from partial melting of subduction-modified mantle peridotites.

The felsic intrusions were derived from partial melting of a subducted oceanic crust followed by mantle peridotite interaction.

The igneous rocks and associated mineralization is related to the northward subduction of the paleo-Tianshan oceanic crust.
