The effects of refractory zirconium-based ceramic dopants on the stability performance of synthetic Ca-based sorbents prepared by co-precipitation method in cyclic CO2 capture operations
Synthesized ceramic stabilized Ca-based sorbents were tested for 21 cycles. Sorbent characterization was investigated using BET/BJH, and XRD tests. Calcium zirconate perovskite structure showed highest stability among the sorbents. Ceramic stabilizer decreased the negative effect of sintering. Surface area and pore volume of the sorbents enhanced by addition of the ceramics.
