Ferroelectric polarization enhancement of photovoltaic effects in BaTiO3/BiFeO3/TiO2 heterostructure by introducing double-functional layers

The BaTiO3/BiFeO3/TiO2 heterostructure shows excellent photovoltaic properties. The BaTiO3 and TiO2 layers acts respectively as electron and hole transferring layers. The photovoltaic properties are effectively modulated by ferroelectric polarization. The excellent properties are attributed to interface barriers and polarization field. This study provide a promising way to optimize ferroelectric photovoltaic properties.
