Differentiation of live attenuated vaccine strains from wild type strains play a critical role in disease control programs. Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae cause many diseases in animals (erysipelas) and humans (erysipeloid). We developed a duplex PCR for differentiation of E. rhusiopathae vaccine strains and wild type strains based on DNA polymerase IV gene.
