Kluyveromyces marxianus has a highly branched cell wall α-mannan. Kluyveromyces marxianus α-mannan presented antiproliferative activity. Kluyveromyces marxianus α-mannan exhibited a copper chelating ability. Kluyveromyces marxianus α-mannan presented a potent iron chelating activity.
