We expanded the ASHRAE Air Diffusion Performance Index (ADPI) guideline. The new ADPI guideline considers 15 diffuser types at today’s cooling loads. Diffuser type is a crucial factor influencing air distribution. The minimum set-points of VAV can be lower than 30% for most ceiling diffusers.
