Vicenin-1 is a potent anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant activity. It was isolated from fenugreek seed extract using HPLC, TLC, 1H NMR and 13C NMR. We carried out its acute oral toxicity study which showed LD50 of 4837.5 mg/kg. In 28-day toxicity study Vicenin-1 showed NOAEL of 75 mg/kg and LOAEL of 150 mg/kg. The accumulation of Vicenin-1 was in liver, lung, kidney and small intestine.
