Introduction of a hyper accelerated coatings testing method which uses UV/ozone. XPS shows that 2 min of UV/ozone degradation equates to 56 days of UV exposure. A steady-state mechanism is reached after 60 min of UV/ozone exposure. Free radical formation and hydrogen abstraction propagates the coating degradation.
