PP1 plays an important role in cardiac physiology and pathophysiology. PP1 is regulated by a large number of regulatory subunits and interactors. Most studies to date only focused on catalytic subunits of PP1. Detailed mapping of the PP1 interactome may lead to novel therapeutics. Affinity-purification MS holds great promise for mapping the PP1 interactome.
