Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common disease associated with high cardiovascular risk. Statins have proved to be safe for the treatment of dyslipidemia in these patients. Statin under-use is particularly high in subjects with NAFLD. A large number of untreated patients with NAFLD are at increased CV risk.
