TLC method was developed for quantitation of glycoalkaloids in Lycium barbarum. HPTLC method was optimized for quantitation of tropane alkaloids in Lycium barbarum. Fruits, leaves, stems and roots of 3 goji varieties were tested for alkaloids presence. l-Hyoscyamine, scopolamine, α-solanine, α-chaconine and solanidine were not found. Methods can be employed for fast control analyses of alkaloid toxicants in goji fruits.
