Spodoptera litura is one of the most destructive pests of agricultural crops worldwide. α- Amylase is a major digestive enzyme of Spodoptera litura inhibition of this enzyme can be used as a target for the regulation of various physiological processes. Iturin A can act as a strong biocontrol agent, and inhibit the enzyme α- Amylase on Spodoptera litura. Results revealed that bacterial lipopeptide (Iturin A) is one of the inhibitory compounds of α- amylase in Spodoptera litura.
