Objective reports versus subjective perceptions of crime and their relationships to accelerometer-measured physical activity in Hispanic caretaker-child dyads
Objective and perceived crime were positively and significantly associated. Self-reported safety and caretaker objective physical activity had an inverse correlation. Objective crime near home was not associated with caretaker physical activity. Caretaker self-reported safety was not associated with overall child physical activity. Girl physical activity had a significant inverse relationship with crime.
