AX from destarched wheat bran (DWB) was hydrolyzed by a Bacillus subtilis endoxylanase.

DWB was treated under pressurized microwave heating using an experimental design.

Non-alkaline high solubilization of AX from DWB was obtained.

147.2 °C/13.2 min at pH 2.06 maximized the total saccharide content in solution.

AX/AXOS/monosaccharide mixtures tailored according to the process parameters.
