A top-down MRIO-based model for consistently tracking city EF across countries is proposed. Valetta is the city with the highest per capita EF followed by Athens and Genoa. Per capita EF in cities tends to be higher than the national EF average. Food and Transportation are key EF drivers in cities from the south and the north rim of the Mediterranean, respectively.
