Simple total synthesis of the natural product Endophenazine G. Synthesis of new N-(methylsulfonyl)phenazines. The N-(methylsulfonyl)phenazines display low MIC (2 and 4 μg/mL) values against MRSA. The active phenazines are bacteriostatic agents.
