We report the complete genome sequence of Stenotrophomonas sp. KACC 91585. This strain is an efficient hydrating bacterium for unsaturated fatty acids. A set of genes concerned with the biosynthesis and metabolizing of fatty acids were identified. Desaturases, thioesterases, and oleate hydratase are involved in hydroxy fatty acid production.
