Rising health care costs may be adding to the economic crisis in the United States. Efficient health care delivery systems must be adopted, slowing cost escalation. Evidence-based practice (EBP) may be the answer. This study explores chief nurse executive beliefs in and implementation of EBP in hospitals across the United States. The move toward EBP may have educational implications for associate degree nursing educators.
