Non-covalent interaction of PC70BM with Pc in the presence of AuNp is studied in solution.
ZnPc is found to form charge transfer absorption band with AuNp in toluene.
Binding of PC70BM in the cleft of H2- and ZnPc is not perturbed in the presence of AuNp.
Large value of quantum yield of charge-separation is observed for ZnPc–AuNp system.
Energy transfer phenomenon is observed from ZnPc to AuNp in toluene.
