Solid state research of two BINOL derivatives, important in modern chemistry, is presented. Crystalline structures of BINOL derivatives, BINOL-OBn and BINOL-OPiv, are solved. The solid-liquid phase diagram of BINOL enantiomers is established for the first time. Structural modulation of BINOL molecule results in change of racemate nature. Unlike BINOL, BINOL-OBn and BINOL-OPiv give rise to conglomerate phase diagrams.
