Chlorella sorokiniana was cultivated in aquaculture wastewater. Heterotrophic cultivation showed higher biomass productivities. Sodium nitrate supplementation improved biomass and metabolite yields. High removal efficiencies were observed for COD, ammonium, nitrate and phosphates. High biomass, lipid, carbohydrate and protein productivities were observed.
