Volumetric capacity changes according to the following trends of dopants Ni > LiAl > Ce > La. Gravimetric capacity changes according to the following trends of dopants Ce < La < Ni < Al < Li. H2 desorption barrier decreases according to the following trends; La > Ce > Al > LiNi. Co-doping of Ni reduces the H2 desorption barrier further.
