We transplanted C. opisthorchis sporocysts into sporocyst-free polychaete host. Transplanted sporocysts switched from cercarial to sporocystal production. Sporocysts multiplied to 136 from the two transplanted sporocysts. Daughter sporocysts produced cercariae, which were released outside the polychaete.
