Preparation, characterization and catalytic activity of a novel mesoporous nanocrystalline MgO nanoparticle for ozonation of acetaminophen as an emerging water contaminant
Preparation of capped-MgO nanoparticle using a novel thermal/sol-gel method. Making a nanocrystalline mesoporous MgO nanoparticle. Capped-MgO had BET value much greater than that of plain MgO. MgO had very high catalytic potential in oxidation of acetaminophen. Degradation and mineralization in MgO/O3 was much greater than those in common AOPs.
