Ethyl levulinate was synthesized in the pervaporation catalytic membrane reactor. Sulfated zirconia coated hydroxyethyl cellulose catalytic membrane was prepared. The obtained highest conversion was 95% in the membrane reactor. The membrane reactor has higher conversion value than the batch reactor.
