Six degradation products of ferulic acid by NO3 radicals are identified. Reaction mechanisms of particulate ferulic acid with NO3 radicals were proposed. Effective rate constant was determined by a mixed-phase relative rate method. Uptake coefficient of NO3 radicals on ferulic acid particles was 0.17 ± 0.02.
