Polyphenols identification and antioxidant power were checked by LC-DAD-CAD-ECD-MS.

Anthocyanins were the major phenolics; ellagitannins had higher antioxidant power.

Jaboticaba intake increased serum antioxidant status.

Jaboticaba intake showed improvement on blood glucose and insulin response.
