Copper-catalyzed C−C cross-coupling reactions of non-activated alkyl chlorides. Non-activated secondary and tertiary alkyl chlorides were coupled with phenyl magnesium bromide. That 2-methyltetrahydrofuran was used as solvent of phenylmagnesium bromide is critical for the cross-coupling.
