Performance on physical function tests and the risk of fractures and admissions: Findings from a national health screening of 557,648 community-dwelling older adults
Physical function tests can identify people with increased risk of falls and fractures. Physical performance was assessed with timed up and go test and unipedal stance test. Poor physical performance was associated with increased fracture and admission risks. Combining the two tests was not superior to performing unipedal stance test alone.
