Irreversible evolution of angular-dependent coercivity in Fe80Ni20 nanowire arrays: Detection of a single vortex state

Fe80Ni20 NWs with lengths up to 60 μm were fabricated into hard-AAO templates.

Interwire and intrawire magnetostatic interactions were investigated by angular FORC diagrams.

Irreversible angular dependence of coercivity was used to describe magnetization reversal modes.

A single vortex state with broad nucleation and annihilation fields was detected at θ=83°.

A good agreement between the experimental findings and analytical models was obtained.
