Magnetic domain structure of cohenite from the Morasko iron meteorite was investigated by Bitter pattern method, magneto-optical imaging and magnetic force microscopy. Strong magnetocrystalline anisotropy explains high magnetic stability. Magnetic domain structure shows high sensitivity to local microstructural heterogeneities. Cohenite is probably a good recorder of magnetic fields in planetary core material.
