The optical DM-OFDM is proposed for VLC to enhance the spectral efficiency. The proposed DM-DCO-OFDM achieves performance gain over classical DCO-OFDM. The proposed DM-U-OFDM achieves performance improvement over classical U-OFDM. A ML detector and a reduced-complexity LLR detector are employed for detection.
