CO2 conversion in a gliding arc plasma: Performance improvement based on chemical reaction modeling

A reaction kinetics model is combined with experiments to study CO2 conversion in GADs. The vibrational kinetics and dissociation mechanisms of CO2 are investigated. The solutions to improve CO2 conversion and energy efficiency are proposed. These improvements are very interesting for practical industrial applications. Comparison is made between our results and other types of plasmas in terms of conversion and energy efficiency.
