Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique was utilized to prepare glucose oxidase (GOx) and Au nanoparticle (NPs) composite films with well defined nano-structures and the architecture effect of the LB films on the glucose sensing was studied.
The two arrangements of AuNPs in the composite electrodes have distinct effects on the enhancement of charge transfer and the elevation of GOx activity.
Composite film with cascade architecture (AuNPs/GOx) has a better sensing performance than the mixed film (GOx-AuNPs).
A film combining both architectures (AuNPs/GOx-AuNP) can further improve the sensing performance.
