We show that special Jordan systems J   which are free of torsion over a scalar ring imbed in primitive (hence strongly prime) Jordan systems class="mathmlsrc">title="View the MathML source" class="mathImg" data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0021869315005682&_mathId=si1.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0021869315005682&_rdoc=1&_issn=00218693&md5=ae03ac4ccfb04a6d8e3b0d24a99239a4">class="imgLazyJSB inlineImage" height="20" width="125" alt="View the MathML source" title="View the MathML source" src="/sd/grey_pxl.gif" data-inlimgeid="1-s2.0-S0021869315005682-si1.gif">class="mathContainer hidden">class="mathCode">$\tilde{J}=J\oplus \mathrm{Heart}(\tilde{J})$ with simple primitive heart. We show examples of exceptional Jordan systems which cannot be imbedded in a nondegenerate system.
