New comparison with δ13C and δ18O in Egypt and Jordan. Integrated planktonic biostratigraphy was done. Well-developed peritidal to subtidal facies associations are recorded. Six third-order Cenomanian–Turonian depositional sequences can be traced across the African-Arabian platform.
