Multiple criteria for high performance real-time diagnostic of single and multiple open-switch faults in ac-motor drives: Application to IGBT-based voltage source inverter
A fast, simple and low-cost technique for inverter faults diagnostic in VSI-fed induction motor drives is proposed. Fault diagnostic is achieved using normalized quantities derived from the currents in αβ- and abc-frames. Proposed technique is robust under transient states and is valuable for single and multiple inverter faults. The feasibility of the proposed technique is verified by simulation and experimentally.
