The colorimetric determination of melamine using UTP modified AuNPs has been reported. The concentration of melamine was quantified by naked eye or spectrometric method. This method was simple, inexpensive, environmental friendly and highly selective. This method was successfully used for the detection of melamine in liquid milk.
