In psoriatic arthritis (PsA) it is also critical to examine spine, skin, and nails; and identify enthesitis/dactylitis. Early diagnosis, monitoring of disease activity and treatment of PsA is crucial in minimizing erosive joint damage. This review will outline the recently developed screening tools for early diagnosis of PsA. A detailed review of currently available therapies, including the biologics targeting IL-23/IL-17 pathway is discussed.
