Development of a selective isomerization/hydroformylation tandem reaction of a technical grade decene isomeric mixture. The rhodium/BIPHEPHOS catalyst is separated via a DMF/dodecane thermomorphic solvent system. Low catalyst leaching values into the product phase are achieved. The catalyst was successfully recycled five times. Successful conversion of a technical olefin feedstock and catalyst recycling shows potential for a technical application.
