Gerbilliscus paeba is only active at night and disperses as well as consumes the seeds of Willdenowia incurvata. Rhabdomys pumilio is only active during the day and consumes, but does not disperse seeds. The combination of seed tagging and video evidence can distinguish between the relative roles of different rodent species.
