An LC–MS/MS method was successfully validated for PCSK9 quantification in plasma. The method is based on trypsin proteolysis and the subsequent analysis of a proteotypic peptide. Optimization of SPE clean up allowed to avoid sample concentration by immunoafinity before proteolysis.
