We determined 222Rn exhalation flux densities normalised to 226Ra activity concentrations (RE-R) for two substrates.
RE-R was lower for waste rock only compared to waste rock blended with 30% fine grained lateritic material.
Seasonality in waste rock 222Rn exhalation flux densities established 4 years after construction.
Wet season RE-R was about 40% of the dry season RE-R.
