MRI is the sensitive technique for detecting iron-based aggregates. Reconstructed Ferritin is suitable model system of iron-related disorders. MRI allow distinguish of native ferritin from reconstructed ferritin. MRI could be useful for diagnostics of diseases associated with iron accumulation.
