Le syndrome d’hypersensibilité médicamenteuse (drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms [DRESS syndrome]) est une toxidermie grave qui peut mettre en jeu le pronostic vital. Nous rapportons l’observation d’un homme de 62 ans ayant développé un DRESS syndrome huit semaines après la première prise de diphantoïne (Phenytoïne^®). Il avait une éruption cutanée, une atteinte rénale et une hyperéosinophilie sanguine. La symptomatologie régressait après l’arrêt du médicament.
