Species of Dyella genus, known as environmental genus, could be incriminated in human infections. A new species, not yet named, was responsible of invasive infection in a premature newborn. Particular difficulties to identify environmental pathogens with classical laboratory methods underestimate their real clinical impact. The Dyella genus should be included in databases of diverse MALDI-TOF. Some species of Dyella are multi-resistant, representing real challenges for clinicians.
