New Estimates on Educational Attainment Using a Continuous Approach (1970-2010)

We introduce a new set of estimates on educational attainment and inequality for 142 countries over the period 1970–2010. Unlike previous approaches, we consider the continuous nature of education. The new data provide more accurate estimates than the existing data sets. These improved data may help to better understand the role of education on different aspects of development.The full set of estimates is available at www.educationdata.unican.es.
